Science & Innovation Consultant

In a nutshell

As part of this mix of talents, we’re looking for a Science & Innovation Consultant who has a strong scientific background and a curious mindset, eager to explore ideas beyond one field or industry. You will you will actively engage with client R&D teams through regular progress updates and strategic consultation for:

  • Technological research (technology mapping, landscaping, trend analysis, foresight …)
  • Providing insights to develop new products & technologies
  • Solving technological problems in production processes
  • Identification of new applications and markets for existing technologies
  • Interacting with client’s R&D stakeholders: interfacing on progress and consulting
Your role

As  Science & Innovation Consultant, you will contribute to a wide range of innovation projects by conducting technological research, generating insights, resolving technical challenges and identifying novel applications for existing products and technologies.

We're looking for

 

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience, or a talented and persuasive starter
  • Education: Scientific master’s degree or PhD
  • Languages: Fluent in English (oral and written); German, French or Dutch is a plus
  • Analytic mindset, eager to dive into new topics, capable of performing high-level as well as in-depth research
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills. You enjoy a good discussion with renowned experts and confidently defend your insights
  • A team player, but we like those strong-minded characters too
  • Location: You will be based in our offices in Kortrijk, Belgium, and will travel across Western Europe on regular occasions.

Bonus Qualifications
Experience or a strong interest in data science is a valuable asset. This could include:

  • Developing and optimizing tools for large-scale data analysis, including those leveraging LLMs
  • Keeping up with advancements in commercial data analysis platforms and AI-driven technologies
  • Programming and data analysis, particularly in Python
